Februarys Dinner Guests Travel from Alaska!

Its a long way to travel from Alaska just to have dinner in Washington, but when your heading for Vegas and Skagit is simply a layover, well...its a nice place to stop for a steak dinner with family, right?

Our February dinner table was graced with the presence of my sister Lori and brother-in-law Terry who live in the city of North Pole, Alaska (yes, you read that right, there IS an actual  city called North Pole, Alaska :) And yes, they actually were on their way to Vegas for some way overdo time together and we were so glad they had the time to stop and see us even if it was only one evening. I hardly ever get to see my family, so it was an extra special time and as you can see from the photos, a very relaxed dinner.

Lori...Here's to Vegas!

Naps, Martinis, "someone" taking too many pictures, even our cat Sophie got in on the action.

Terry...Martini time!

Jaime... a little pre-martini nap

Jordan...another photo...you kidding me?

Sophey loves to participate in all things good.

As the weather was cooperating beautifully , Jaime barbequed us up some delicious steaks...tasting like summertime! By the time Lori and Terry took off from Seattle airport heading for the true sunshine of Vegas, the February snowstorm had reached Washington...and I don't need to tell the "rest of the story" :)

Having any of my immediate family at our dinner table is rare as we are all so spread out, so my heart was filled...until next time! Apparantly Jordan agrees as he shows me his "Jim face" from The Office. Come on son, one more shot??
